Hubert Camille Domingue “Papa”, 73, was born November 27, 1947 to Ellis and Edmae Domingue. He passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2021 in the presence of his wife and children. Hubert graduated in 1967 from LaGrange High School where he played football and ran track. He retired from Olin/Lyondell Corporation in 2005. He worked as a maintenance boilermaker for over thirty years and was a member of the Boilermaker Union. His greatest accomplishments in life were raising, coaching, and watching his children and grandchildren (in and out of the rodeo arena). Hubert was also an avid golfer and enjoyed playing with his wife and his friends. His family called him “Papa”, but he was truly everyone’s Papa! He loved cheering for everyone at the rodeos whether they were family or not.
The family left to cherish his memory include the following: loving wife of fifty years, Margaret Atrelle Corbello Domingue; son, Mitch Domingue and wife Paula; daughter, Casey Richard and husband Chad; three grandchildren, Tyler Domingue and wife Sadie, Shelby Domingue, and Camryn Richard; and two great-grandchildren, Tristan Paul and True McKay, who were the light of his life. Hubert is also survived by his two siblings, Bill Domingue and Elista Price, and many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his own family and everyone else who has crossed paths with him.
A celebration of Papa’s life will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. Reverend Glenn George will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and continue on Thursday from 9:00 AM until the start of the service.
In lieu of flowers, please come by and give the family your love and help them rejoice his wonderful life!!
