Funeral Services for Hubert Riggs Sr. will be Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 10:30 AM at St. Henry Catholic Church. Father Jefferey Starkovich will officiate. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, at Johnson’s Funeral Home with visitation at 7:30AM to 10:00AM with a rosary at 9:00AM.

Mr. Riggs died at his home, January 7, 2017 surrounded by his wife and loving family. He was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles. He worked for PPG/Axiall for 44 years. He was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Chiasson Riggs, two daughters, Deesha Denise (David) Lemelle of Lake Charles, La., LaToya Nechelle (Skasa) Rideau of Lafayette, La.; one son, Hubert (Lisa) Riggs Jr. of Lake Charles, La.; eight grandchildren; Jaylyn, Jolie, Jean-David, Angele’ Lemelle, Vivienne and Victor Rideau, Princess and Hugh-Bert Riggs. He also leaves to cherish five siblings, Lillie Mae (Bob) Chavis of Houston, Tx.; Oscar Riggs Sr. (Barbara) of Westlake; Lisa (David) Semien of Lake Charles; Girard Riggs (Pam) of Lake Charles; Dominick (Sharmella) Riggs of Hollywood, Maryland and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
