Hurricane H. Thomas, born in Kinder on June 27, 1957, son of the late Elroy and Josephine Perridon Thomas, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at the age of sixty-seven.
Hurricane was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all he encountered. He was a farmer for Bobby Bourgeois and as well, custom painted and drove Rolls Royce’s for him. He also worked on the side for Tony Guillory Limousine Service He also worked as the head mechanic for C & L Aqua Professions. Hurricane enjoyed restoring tractors, collecting toy tractors, boiling crawfish every weekend during the crawfish season. Most of all, he loved being with his friends, family and his cherished grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of eighteen years, Deborah Thomas; children, Kristina Parra and fiancé, Jevin Guidry, Hurricane Gerald Thomas, II and fiancé, Loni, Jesse Thomas (Tawny), Amber Kramer (Nickalous), and Ashley Vidrine (Glenn Duplantis); siblings, Judy Jolivette (John), Mary Justice (Greg), Virgie LaTour (Oris), Kathy Thomas (Wayne), Shelia Gradney (Ronald), Brenda Guillory (Darby), Michelle Pappion (Rodney), Elizabeth Nelson (Ted), Jason Thomas, Marsha LeMelle (Jerome), and Earline Leonard (Kirby); and fifteen grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son, David Parra, and siblings, Helen Thomas, and Roy Thomas.

Services will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Dwayne Daigle officiating. Cremation will follow the service under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. in the funeral home.
