Irene Marie Dartez, 86, of Anacoco, passed away in her daughter’s residence in Denham Springs on Saturday, October 10, 2020.
Irene was born on September 15, 1934 and was a graduate of Marion High School. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and being with her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Winton Paul and Rose Juneau; husband, Dallas John Dartez, Sr.; children, Kathryn Ann Dartez Moreau; Richard Daniel Dartez; siblings, Louise Teal; Thelma Jean LeBlanc.
Irene is survived by her children, Dallas John Dartez, Jr. and wife, Veronica; W. Randall Dartez; Vicky L. Veron and husband, Dale; daughter-in-law, Pamela Arsement Dartez; sister, Lucy Menard and husband, Donald; brother-in-law, Clanis “Jay” Dartez; sister-in-law, Jean Jordan; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 2 p.m. Rev. Roland Vaughn, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., with a rosary at 1:45 p.m.
As per the request of the family, face masks will be required.
