Isaac N. Davis III

July 6, 1968 — December 20, 2025

Isaac N. Davis III passed away on December 20, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He lived a life fueled by passion, curiosity, adventure, and above all, deep devotion to his children.

Isaac grew up in Moss Bluff and was a member of the Class of 1986. From an early age, he loved anything fast, mechanical, and outdoors. He spent his youth mud riding with his brothers and friends, developing a lifelong love for motorcycles and adventure. By the time he moved to Texas in 1991, where he began raising his family, motorcycles were already part of who he was.

A die-hard Honda fan, Isaac rode motorcycles all over the country and logged over a quarter of a million miles on two wheels. He taught all of his children how to ride, sharing not just a skill, but a love for freedom, responsibility, and exploration. Riding wasn’t just a hobby, it was part of his identity.

Isaac was an avid fisherman, especially with his sons, and he carried his love for the outdoors into everything he did. As a Boy Scout, he once used his training to save a child’s life

A true technology genius, Isaac spent most of his career working in IT, a profession that took him all over the country. His mind was far ahead of its time. He was developing and conceptualizing technology apps before smartphones even existed, inventing and programming ideas the world had not yet caught up to. He could reprogram television remotes, music equipment, and electronics to perform functions well beyond their original design.

Music was another deep passion. Isaac was a superfan of the band RUSH, even owning a guitar signed by all three members. He also loved Primus and Tool, attending more concerts than could be counted. His technical skill extended into music as well, he could reprogram recording and sound equipment to operate exactly as he wanted, blending creativity with precision.

Isaac was also a talented photographer, combining his love for motorcycles with art. For ten years, he served as a photographer at Irwindale Speedway, where he had exclusive access to the infield grass, capturing high-speed moments and selling his prints.

Above all else—above the bikes, the technology, the music, and the adventures—his children were the center of his world. He involved them in everything he did, instilling in them a strong work ethic, curiosity, confidence, and a deep love for life. To those who knew him best, Isaac truly was “the perfect dad.”

Isaac is survived by his children Christopher Davis (Mercedes), Matthew Davis, and Elisabeth Davis; his father Isaac Davis Jr.; his brother Jonathan Davis; his grandchildren Emmett Davis and Avery Davis; his best friend Mark Monroe; his uncle Jerry Platt; cousins Jeff Platt (Heidi) and Kelly Platt; nieces and nephews Randy Boyer, AmberLynn Davis, and Gabriella Davis; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and his beloved grand-cat, Chief Davis.

He was preceded in death by his mother Winifred Davis; his aunt Joella Platt; his grandfather Isaac Davis Jr.; his grandmother Yolanda Fay Wilson; and his favorite dog, Peanut.

A Memorial Service in honor of Isaac’s life will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM and continuing until the start of the service.

Isaac’s life was one of brilliance, adventure, laughter, and love. His legacy rides on—in the lives of his children, the roads he traveled, the music he loved, and the countless moments he captured and created.
