Hayes ~ Ivine Benoit Trahan, born in Jennings on February 13, 1943, daughter of the late Ora Benoit and Mary Suire, passed away Saturday, December 08, 2018, at the age of 75.
She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching the Price is Right, playing cards with family and friends, scratch off lottery tickets, and loved spending time with her family.
Ivine is survived by her sons, Henry L. Trahan (Heather), Steven O. Trahan (Cynthia); daughters, Elgina Manuel (Stephen), Geneva Guillory (Kevin), Belinda LeBlanc (Carl), Ramonica Leger (Bradley); step daughter, Laura Deshotel; brother, Allen Wayne Trahan; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; pets, Molly and Sassy.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Adam Trahan; granddaughter, Amanda Leger; great-granddaughter, Avalynn Hendrix.
Funeral services are Tuesday, December 11, 2018 in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa at 1 p.m. with Father John Payne officiating. Burial will follow in Hayes Cemetery in Hayes. Visitation is Monday from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m., with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. and resumes Tuesday from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.
