Jack Robinson Weaver, 91, of Lake Charles passed away at 5:09 PM on Friday, December 14, 2018 in his home.
Mr. Weaver was born on February 6, 1927 in Mobile, AL. He enlisted in the military and made it his career until retiring in 1976 in Lake Charles. Mr. Weaver served in the Navy and later the Air Force during World War II, the Korean Conflict, and Vietnam.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, James Cannon (Cathy) of Seabreeze, FL, Jack Robinson Weaver, II of Newton,TX, Katherine Diane Gipson (Paul) of Phoenix, AZ, Cynthia Janay Ramie of Moss Bluff, and Daniel Weaver of Lake Charles; daughter in law, Linda Weaver of Lake Charles; brother, Adrian Weaver (Kay) of Mobile, AL; nine grandchildren, Robert Cannon, Jessica Marie Weaver, Amy Leigh Frier (Jon), Melissa Jean Gipson, Heather Lee Gipson, Sarah Leah Burleigh (Erik), David Preston Ramie (Crystal), Lindsey Michel Williams (Jason), and Samantha Brooke Prichard (Tyler); nineteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and one on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mavoneen Strickland Weaver; parents, Rosco and Ora Robinson Weaver; siblings, Wayne Weaver, Blanche Schilthuis, and Janet Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Terry Ardizzone will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will resume on Wednesday from 12:00 PM until the start of the service.
