John "Jack" Deane Stoller, 80, passed away peacefully September 23, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Jack was born in Smith Center, Kansas to Glenn Leroy and Reba Lafrances Cowan Stoller on July 19, 1946.
After graduating from Smith Center High School, Jack chose Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina, Kansas, from a selection of basketball scholarships where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in History. While attending KWU, Jack met Tena Anderson, whom he married by the Fall of their sophomore year. Following graduation, while working as a teacher and coach, Jack went on to earn a Master's Degree from Ft. Hays State University in Hays, Kansas.
After ten years as a high school teacher and coach, Jack moved into a second career in medical sales traveling the Kansas roads. He loved nothing more than a wide-open Kansas highway. Upon his retirement he could be found playing with his grandchildren, watching the Kansas State Wildcats or partaking in a poker game at the casinos.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Angela Davidson and husband Norman, and their children, Abigail, Kate, and Brady Davidson; Shaun Stoller and wife Angie, and their children, Jacob and wife Aurora, Margaret, Benjaman, and Henry; and four great grandchildren, Chloe, Rowan, Wyatt, and Lane; sister, Karen Anderson and husband Leon; numerous nieces and nephews.
He is proceeded in passing by his loving wife of 53 years, Tena Marie Anderson Stoller; parents, Glenn Leroy and Reba Lafrances Cowan Stoller; brothers, Jim Stoller and Paul Stoller.
Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life will be held as announced by the family at a later time.
