James Allen Dykes

Moss Bluff - James Allen Dykes, 69, passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2019.

He was born on July 27, 1949 in Lake Charles, LA to Melva Reeves and Kenneth Ray Dykes. He was a member and senior warden at the Calcasieu 400 F & AM Masonic Lodge. He will be remembered for his big heart and willingness to help anyone at any time.

He is survived by his daughter, Nichole Knippers (Kelly); son, Chris Dykes (Maegan); grandchildren, Kailen (Tyler), August, Makayla, Marley, and Madison.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Dykes; parents; sister, Johnnie Raye; and brother, Roland.

His funeral service will be held at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff at 11 AM on Friday, February 22, 2019. The Rev. Robert Kratzer will officiate.

Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Thursday from 5 PM until 8 PM and will continue on Friday from 10 AM until the start of the service. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help defer funeral expenses.
