James Celestine, II, 36, of Lake Charles, passed away Tuesday July 18, 2017 in Westlake.
James was a native and life-long resident of the Lake Area. He attended Sam Houston High School and was introduced to his scaffolding career by a dear friend and mentor Mark Lockheart which lead to him becoming a master scaffold builder, having worked at most of the plants in the area. He currently was working with Turner Industries at the SASOL site in Westlake. He had a relationship with God and for a time was a youth leader and member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God in Lake Charles.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Jessica Bess Bengston Celestine, Lake Charles; children, Alexander “Alex” Celestine, Matthew Isaiah Celestine, Taylin Gabrielle Celestine and Ashlyn Brooke Celestine; mother, Eva “Mickey” Vincent; father, James Celestine; surrogate parents Lynn and Wayne Bengston; siblings, Brenda Martin, Bridgette Chapman, Michael Chapman, David Chapman, Davi Jr. Seaman. Father figure Jerry LeBlanc and brothers of the heart, Jason Verrett, Josh LeBlanc, Terry Lester and Jared Fowler and numerus nieces, nephews and extended family.
A Celebration of Life will be at 4:00 PM, Friday July 28, 2017 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with visitation from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Brother Carl Ducat will officiate services. Anyone who cared for James is welcome.
