James Farque Jr.

James Farque Jr., of DeRidder, LA died Thursday, December 22, 2016 in a DeRidder Hospital.

James was born on May 3, 1941 in Lake Charles, LA to James and Rose Farque. He enjoyed working in the yard, going to Flea Markets, and cooking. James loved being around family, hunting in the great outdoors, and being a huge LSU fan.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 23 years, Elizabeth Elaine Farque; three children, James Brantley Farque and wife Becky of Iowa, LA, Stephen Waddell Farque of Lake Charles, LA, Tamela Farque Thom and husband John of Iowa, LA; five step children, Wendy Sprague of DeRidder, LA, Wendel Sprague and wife Margaret of Oklahoma, Danny Sprague and wife Faydra of Germany, Kim Chapman and husband Dewayne, and Kristine Stout and husband Nicky; brothers, David and wife Janet, Allen and wife Sue, Ricky and wife Carrie; sisters, Barbara, Mabel and husband Billy, Brenda, Charlotte, and Gloria and husband Don; sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Joseph and Charles Farque; and one sister, Kathy Johnson.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Monday, December 26, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will continue from 8:00 AM until time of service Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Ritchie Cemetery. Rev. Frank Ott will officiate.
