James "Jim" Foley

James “Jim” Edgar Foley, 76, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Jim was born on September 4, 1947 to Chester D and Avis G Melder Foley in El Paso, Texas. He served his country honorably in the United States Army. Jim umpired over 35 years in Moss Bluff on the Girls Softball and Buddy Ball games and he enjoyed hunting.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 50 years, Wanda Foley; children, Michelle Foley Perkins, Misty Foley, Kristy Foley, Katlynn Dunagan (Cameron) and Destiny Foley; grandchildren, Destin, Brandon, Ryan, Karleigh, Madison, Braiden, Luke, Allie and Kensley; great grandchildren, Beaux, Talon, Maison, Addi, Rylan and Bowen; sisters, JoAnn Fontenot and Evelyn Arabie (Pat); nieces and nephews, Charlotte, Kelly, Jackie, April, Mike, Chris, Kathleen. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, CW5 George William “Bill” Foley and brother in law, Donald Fontenot .
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 10:00am in Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff with Rev. Paul Burke and Rev Jon Hair officiating. Burial will follow service in Campground Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 7, 2024 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm and will resume on Monday at 9:00am until service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Ritchie Bertrand, Jonathan Stelly, David Degeyter, Brandon Alcock, Matt Alcock, Chris Foley, Destin Castillo, Brandon Walker, Ryan Walker, Austin Bonner, Tommy Priola (Honorary) and Larry Miller (Honorary).
