Lake Charles ~ James Edward Johnson, Sr., born December 17, 1950, son of the late Wilford and Elma Lee (Trahan) Johnson, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at the age of 70.
James, a cross country truck driver, enjoyed watching westerns and spending time with his grandchildren.
James is survived by his children, James Edward Johnson, Jr., and Lindale Johnson; siblings, Calvin Johnson, and Freddie Augustine; grandchildren, Shelby; Jeremiah; Jacey; Karen; Kaylinn; Karson; great-grandchildren, Alexia and Addalynn.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gail Johnson; siblings, Shelton Lee Johnson, Sr., and Lou Anna Savant.
A gathering of family & friends will begin Thursday, March 11, 2021 in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. Cremation will follow under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
As per the request of the family, facial coverings will be required, and no food will be allowed.
