Lake Charles – James Matthew Jones, Sr., born December 15, 1958, son of the late Clarence “Buddy” Gene and Barbara Eldridge (Oxendine) Jones, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2020 at the age 61.
James is survived by his children, James Jones, Jr. (Heather); Holland Jones (Jill); Tammy Fontenot (Jesse) and Jessica Jones; siblings, John Jones (Janet); Michael Jones (Rebecca); Paul Jones (Jenny); Myron Jones and Lila Jerome (Jon); mother of his children, Marie Jones; 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services are Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa, with Pastor Glen Cooley officiating. Burial will follow in Broussard Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation begins Wednesday in the funeral home from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
