James Lee Jimmy Lejeune

July 28, 1938 — January 12, 2011

James Lee "Jimmy" LeJeune, 72, of Lake Charles died Wednesday, January 12, 2011 in Fields, LA.


Mr. LeJeune was born in Jennings, LA, raised and educated in the Jennings and Lake Charles area and attended LaGrange High School. He served the United States Marine Corps. Following his service he worked twenty five years as an operator with Conoco before retiring. Mr. LeJeune was a loyal member of Eastwood Pentecostal Church. He was an avid outdoorsman, having enjoyed hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. Mr. LeJeune will be most remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, step- father and step- grandfather "A Man".


He leaves to honor his memory, his precious wife, Betty LeJeune of Lake Charles; one son, James "Troy" LeJeune and wife Kimberly of Lafayette; one daughter, Tammy Lynn LeJeune of Lake Charles; three grandchildren, Megan Lynn LeJeune and Dustin Lee Hume, both of Lake Charles and Jesse Lee LeJeune of Lafayette; three brothers, Arthur LeJeune of Westlake, Robert LeJeune of Many and Donald LeJeune of LeBleu Settlement and two sisters, Betty Timpa of Lake Charles and Dana Turnage of Westlake.


He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and two sisters.


Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 15, 2011 in Eastwood Pentecostal Church under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Reverends George Guy and Aaron Lopez will officiate. Interment will follow in Andrus Cove Cemetery in Lake Arthur. Visitation Friday will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM in the funeral home. Visitation Saturday will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service in the church.
