James 'Michael' Burrow

James “Michael” Burrow passed away peacefully on May 6, 2023 at a local care facility in Lake Charles, LA.

He was 60 years old.  Michael was born on October 30, 1962 in Sulphur, LA to James H. & Myrna Burrow.  He was raised in Sulphur and worked for many years at Johnnie’s Paint & Body Shop in Lake Charles.  Michael loved fishing, camping, NASCAR and LSU.

Preceding him in death were his father; James H. Burrow; brother, Robert Burrow; brother-in-law, Norman Vail; and his nephew, Carey Fontenot.

He is survived by his mother, Myrna Burrow, of Moss Bluff, LA; sisters, Susan Steele and her husband, Ed of Nederland, TX, and Jeanie Burrow Vail of Moss Bluff, LA; and great-nephews, Matthew Fontenot of Houston, TX and Matt Howard of Lake Charles; also numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Care was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff.  Private interment will be at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to St Jude Children’s Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
