James Robert Bolin

James Robert Bolin, 86, of Lake Charles, LA died Thursday, October 13, 2016 in a local care facility.

James was born on December 11, 1930 in York, SC to John and Cora Bolin. He retired from the United Stated Army in 1979 as a Platoon Sergeant after of 22 years of dedicated service. While in the Army, he supported a two star General with communications in the field. James served as park manager for seven years at Camp Edgewood. He also worked at St. Theodore Catholic Church for 8 years.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving sons, Don Brown of Missouri and Mike Bolin of Oklahoma; one step daughter, Cathy Stiga of Richland, MO; and dear friend, Bill McCuller and wife Wanda.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Katherine McCagg Bolin and his parents.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM Monday, October 17, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 11:00 PM until 3:00 PM Monday, October 17, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Consolata Cemetery. Monsignor Charles Dubois will officiate services.
