James "Tiny" Celestine

James “Tiny” Celestine, 65, of Lake Charles died Sunday, May 6, 2018 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family.

Mr. Celestine was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles. He worked as a farmer and cattleman for W.J. Gail & Son. He was an honorable man who will be remembered for his devotion to family and his hard work.

He leaves his wife of thirty-six years, Jackie Lynn Rome Celestine of Lake Charles; seven sons, Randy Soileau, Lannis Soileau, Jr., Mike Soileau, Sr., Jason Soileau, Ernie Soileau, Ronald Soileau, Sr. and Lucas Soileau; twenty four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Rickey “Possy” Celestine; two sisters, Linda Celestine and Betty Celestine and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson, Sr. and Agnus Victorian Celestine; two brothers, Mickey Celestine and Tommy “Buck” Celestine and one sister, Barbara Celestine.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 8, 2018 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Jeremy Damiata will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
