Mr. James Woodrow Moss Jr., 69, passed away Monday, October 24, 2011. He was a resident of Lake Charles.
Mr. Moss, an Asst. Professor of Chemistry, retired from McNeese State University after 20 years of service. He was also an Analytical Scientist. Mr. Moss enjoyed fishing and hunting. His creative ingenuity challenged him to invent and create useful products.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Marion Corkran Moss; son, Michael F. Moss of Westlake; sister, Kathleen Smith of Spring, TX; grandson, Alexander Moss; numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Sr. and Anna Mae Moss; brother, Kenneth Moss Sr.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 2PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. David Dewitt will officiate. Burial will follow in Sallier Cemetery. Visitation will begin Wednesday from 1PM until time of service.
