Jamie Allison Bruner Gardner 48, of Lake Charles passed away Friday, January 5, 2024 following a brief illness.
She was born September 24, 1975 in Shreveport, LA and was the only child of James F. Bruner and Alice LeJeune.
At the age of three, she and her father made Southwest Louisiana their home. They attended St. Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church. Following graduation, she attended McNeese State University.
She possessed a servant’s heart and was a dedicated mother and friend. The joy of her life was her family, there was nothing she wouldn’t do for them. As a homemaker she spent many hours making memories with her children, ensuring they were provided for.
Throughout their marriage, she and James fostered numerous children. She was thankful for the gift of adoption given to her by her parents, and wanted to open her heart and home, she and James expanded their family by two.
She also started a non-profit organization “Louisiana Christmas Project”, who provided meals and gifts to families in need during the holiday seasons.
She will best be remembered for her loving nature, selflessness, and dedication to family.
Those left to cherish her memory; her husband of twenty-one years, James R. Gardner; children, Jason Bruner, Victoria Gardner, and Jacob Gardner; a granddaughter, Valerie; father, James F. Bruner; mother, Alice LeJeune; and numerous extended family.
With respect to Jamie’s wishes, no services to be held at this time.
