Jamie Lynn Newman, born in LaGrange, Texas, on July 1, 1982, daughter of Michael Newman, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023, at the age of 40 after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
Jamie attended F. K. White and moved to Kansas to be with her father and brother, where she graduated from Wellington High School. She was a graduate of Delta Tech with an accounting degree and was employed at Calcasieu Mechanical Contractors.
She was very independent, loved cutting her own grass, keeping an immaculate home, and was an excellent cook. Jamie was a loyal friend with a great sense of humor. She was easy to be with and loved making people feel good about themselves. She was devoted to her daughter Karagan that was the light of her life.
She is preceded in death by her father, Michael Newman.
Left to cherish wonderful memories are her daughter, Karagan Bonin; brother, Steven Newman and wife, Tiffany, along with their children, Genevieve, and Reagan; best friend, Dallas Wilks and husband, Todd; father of her daughter, Jason Bonin.
