Janet Campbell

Janet Louise Campbell, 57, passed away on March 28, 2024, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family.  Janet was a graduate of McNeese and Louisiana State University.  She was very active in Rainbow girls and held several offices and was active at Dynamic Dimensions.  Janet taught early childhood and kindergarten and retired as a teacher having taught in Nederland and Port Arthur, Texas.  Janet was well respected in her field.  She was a former member of Houston River Baptist Church and currently attended Wesley United Methodist Church of Sulphur.  Janet was an avid reader and loved crossword puzzles.  She kept her mind active with word searches, jumbles word puzzles, games and reading mystery books which were her favorite.  Janet was a dog lover, especially Cody, her cocker spaniel who was well loved.

Janet is survived by her mother, Olive Campbell; her sister, Sharon Campbell; three aunts and many cousins.  She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Campbell.

Services for Janet will be held on Monday, April 1, 2024, at 1 PM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss.  The family will receive friends on Monday from 11 AM until the time of service.
