Janet Pennington

Janet Pennington, 62, of Lake Charles, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016 in the comfort of her home.

Janet was a native of Bush, LA. She was a graduate of SOWELA Technical College and a nurse for the Calcasieu Parish Sherriff’s Department.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Alvin and Dorothy Pennington and is survived by her three sons, Thomas Hatfield IV, Brent Hatfield and wife Spring, and J.P. Hatfield and fiancé Brittany; grandchildren, Kennedy Hatfield, Ben Hatfield, Ashton Beeson, Hudson Hatfield, and Janet Hatfield and a great granddaughter, Addalyn Alleman; and a brother, Alvin Pennington and wife Mary.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday December 1, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Friday December 2, 2016 at the funeral home with Dr. John Robert Black officiating. Private family interment will be at a later date.
