Janice Esthay

Janice Esthay, 77, of Lake Charles, died on Friday, September 4, at her residence.

Janice was a native of Kinder and a graduate of Kinder High School and attended McNeese State University. She lived in Lake Charles for the past 42 years and retired as Office Manager at Johnson Funeral Home and Dr. Robert E. Welborn, DDS.

Janice is survived by two children, Jeffery Lognion and his wife Tricia and Michelle Lognion Hart. She is also survived by grandchildren, Macy Mier Fontenot and her husband Cody, Kai Lognion and his wife Olyvia, Bailey Lognion and his wife Abbi, and Alec Lognion. She is also survived by great grandchildren, Lily, Kohen, Nova, Ezra, Romi Lognion and Kayden , Parker, and London Fontenot.

A Grandson, Conner Ladner Mier, preceded her in death.

A gathering, of friends and family will be held from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM on Tuesday, September 8, in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel.

The family has requested donations in Janice's memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

The family would especially like to her longtime friend Kathy Comeaux and Rachel Boggs with Heart of Hospice for her care and compassion during Janice's illness.
