Janice Marie Maggio

Janice Marie Tillman Maggio was born on March 18, 1951, in Orange, TX. A resident of Vinton, she passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026.

She is survived by her children Kim Maggio (Kevin Augustine), Carlo Maggio (Kalli), her brother Clem Tillman (Kathy), sisters Gwen Romero and Tricia Bacon, her grandchildren Johnny Trahan, III, Samantha Ardoin (Christian), Honor, Charlee, Myles, Manny & Mary Maggio and one great-grandchild Lily Ardoin, due in Jan 2026 along with nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Sam Maggio, Sr, their son Ricco Maggio, her parents Richard & Pearl Tillman and her in-laws Joe & Rose Maggio.

A resident at Holly Hill in Memory Care, the family was blessed with her exceptional care. Heart of Hospice was a guiding light in the last 8 weeks of Janice’s journey.

A Requiem Mass will be held at 10am on January 3, 2026, at Our Lady Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Sulphur, LA with Father Edward Richard officiating.

Burial will follow at Niblett’s Bluff Cemetery in Vinton, LA under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home Sulphur. There will be no visitation as per Janice’s wishes.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Johnny Trahan, III and Christian Ardoin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady Prompt Succor Catholic Church, Sulphur, LA or St Joseph Catholic Church, Vinton, LA
