Big Lake – Jason Todd Miller, 35, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016.
Jason was born in Lake Charles on September 29, 1981 to Rickie and Phyllis Miller. He was a graduate of Grand Lake High and was a volunteer fireman. Jason enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and loved to cook. Jason was an avid fan of New Orleans Saints and McNeese Cowboys.
He is survived by his loving wife, Theresa Miller; daughters, Chasidy Miller, Marsha, Elizabeth and Leanna Blount; parents, Rickie and Phyllis Miller; sisters, Melissa Guidry and husband Scott, Kelly Heuring and husband Mitchell; maternal grandparents, Linton and Estelle Thibodeaux; nieces, Amber Guidry and Zoie Guidry; nephews, Andrew Guidry, Alex Guidry, Brady Heuring and Gavin Heuring. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frances and Fernella Miller; maternal grandfather, Elmo Bordelon, Jr.
Visitation is Friday, December 9, 2016 in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home in Iowa from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., with a rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume Saturday from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. in the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian burial will be in St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in Big Lake, with Monsignor James Gaddy officiating on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Grand Lake Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home.
