LeBleu Settlement –Jasper F. Hay, born September 6, 1950 & a lifelong resident of LeBleu Settlement, went home to Jesus on January 26, 2015 at St. Patrick’s Hospital with his loving family & friends by his side.
Jasper was a kind & loving man to all. He was a graduate of Iowa High School & also attended Ferrier school. He was an auto glass mechanic & horseshoer for 35 years. Jasper also had a love of horses & dogs.
Jasper is survived by his loving mate Brenda Sonnier; children, Chris Hay & Heather Hay Comeaux (Daniel); brother, Jerry Hebert (Maggie); in-laws, Dennis & Alice Benoit, Paula Begnaud & Dewey, Michael “Bud” Thibodeaux & close friends, Craig & Juanita Guillory; grandkids, Shelby & Colby Budge, Brennan Beitel, Macie Comeaux, Mallory Hay, Logan & Reagan (Princess) Sonnier, Jordan & Kelsey Sonnier, Gage & Brice Simon ; great grandson, Brayden Gillett & 1 on the way; stepsons, Richard Sonnier (Suzanne) & Scott Sonnier ( Erica); nieces & nephews, Brian & Roxanne Benoit, James & Daisy Benoit, Chad & Marla Benoit & Brett & Caleb Benoit; faithful dog, Dutchess & also many friends & family. He is preceded in death by his parents Henry Hay & Lovina LeBleu; step father, Roy (Jack) Hebert
Services will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Thomas Williams officiating. Burial will follow in LeBleu Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and will continue on Thursday at 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
