Jeanette Chapman

Jeanette F. Chapman, 81, of Lake Charles, Louisiana died at 12:49 PM Monday, December 9, 2013. Jeanette was born August 18, 1932 in Basile, Louisiana to Theodore and Rose Fruge. Jeanette was a Lake Charles Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Lady since 1990. Ms. Jeanette loved to shop, listening to french music, and dancing. She was a longtime member of St. Margaret Catholic Church where she was an Altar society member. Survivors include one son, Darrell "Buggs" Chapman and wife Faith; grandchildren, Ashton Piechota, Jett Piechota, Jack Chapman, Seth Chapman, and Amanda Chapman; two great grandchildren; one niece, Ann Sonnier; one nephew, Burkman P. Fruge Jr.; and lifelong friends, Charles and Barbara Bourgeois. She is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 30 plus years, Raphael C. Chapman; two sons, Raphael Chapman Jr., Kenneth Wayne Chapman; and one brother, Burkman P. Fruge Sr.. Services will be Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00PM until 9:00PM with a Rosary at 6:00PM. Visitation will resume Thursday at 8:00 AM until time of service. Officiating will be Father Bill Miller.
