Lacassine – Jeffery Lynn Trahan, 52, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017 in Houston, TX.
Jeffery was born June 27, 1964 to John Avery and Velma Marie (Ardoin) Trahan in Welsh, LA. He was employed with Calcasieu Parish School Board. Jeffery enjoyed fishing, camping, flea markets, loved working in his yard, helping others and he never met a stranger.
Survivors are his father, John Avery Trahan; brothers, Douglas Trahan, Kenneth Trahan and Roderick (Ricky) Trahan and wife Gloria Abshire Trahan; niece, Laci D’Marie Hobson. He is preceded in death by his mother; Velma Ardoin Trahan.
Funeral services will be in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 2 p.m. with Father Roland Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home. Visitation is Wednesday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and will resume in the funeral home on Thursday from 8 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. with a rosary at 1 p.m.
