Jeffrey Barnes

Jeffrey Barnes, 69, passed away on July 25, 2026, in Sulphur, LA.  Jeff was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 14, 1956.  

Jeff grew up in Oak Lawn, Il and attended Richards High School.  Jeff had a battle with serious cancer in 2015 which he survived and decided to buy a RV and traveling around the country and visiting friends and seeing different parts of the country.  He spent time staying with his friends  at Carson Springs Wildlife Sanctuary in Gainesville, Florida and enjoyed helping out around the sanctuary.  His last few years he ended up in Sulphur, LA, staying with friends who helped him as he declined from complications of his declining health.  

Jeff is survived by his older brother, Scot and was preceded in death by his parents, Warren S. and Jane M. Barnes, and his siblings, Bruce, Sam and Denise Barnes.  

Services will be private.
