Jeffrey Shane Hanchey

Jeffrey “Jeff” Shane Hanchey, 62, of Carlyss passed away on July 10, 2017 in Houston, TX. He was a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Sulphur serving as a Eucharist Minister and an usher. Jeff also belonged to the Knights of Columbus Council 3015, Fr. Veillard 4th Degree Assembly,  and worked for Citgo for 40 years as a Unit Supervisor. Jeff loved his family especially his grandchildren and will be missed by all who knew him.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 40 years, Pam Mouton Hanchey of Carlyss; his two daughters, Misti Labbie and husband Brad, and Staci Henry and husband Chance all of Sulphur; 3 grandchildren, Brady and Bryce Labbie and Collin Henry; a brother, Doug Hanchey and wife Gail; 2 sisters, Judy Scallon and Phyllis White; numerous nieces, nephews, wonderful friends and special neighborhood kids. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Irene Hanchey.

A Mass will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 10 A.M. at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Sulphur with Father Edward Richard, M.S. officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 14, 2017 from 2- 8 P.M. with a rosary at 6 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. After the church service cremation will be entrusted to Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
