Jeffrey Todd Malone, 51, passed away at his home on April 21, 2017.

 

Jeff was a simple man known to have a heart of gold. Professionally, Jeff spent over 20 years in the field of security and surveillance. Jeff always considered his coworkers as his own family. His family fondly remembers this caring man’s humor and jokes. Jeff was an avid Saints, LSU, and Rockets fan. He was also very proud to be an Irish descendant. His daughter, the most cherished part of his life, thinks back to many trips to Sonic, fun trips to Holly Beach, and an airboat ride. Mr. Malone was a good father to his daughter, Havyn.

 

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Havyn Hornsby of San Antonio; her mother and Jeff’s best friend, Tammy O’Neill of San Antonio; mother, Suzann Malone of Lake Charles; brother, Ralph Malone and wife Tamika of Sumter, South Carolina; niece, Aura Ann Malone of Colorado; niece and nephew, Whitney Clark of New York City, and Caleb Clark of San Antonio; nieces, Harlee and Paisley O’Neill of San Antonio; nieces and nephew McKayla, Jessica, and Conner Huth or Sumter, South Carolina; and nieces and nephew, Cassidy, Elsa, and Gerald Hornsby of Lake Charles.

 

Jeff is preceded in death by his father, Ralph Edward Malone of Lake Charles; sister, Wendy Malone Milam of Virginia; and brother, Rory Malone of Ashville, North Carolina.

 

A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 4PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Cremation following the service has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Ronnie Estes will officiate. Visitation will begin on Monday, April 24 at 2PM at the funeral home.
