Jennifer Rae Chesson Stewart

Jennifer Rae Chesson Stewart of Lake Charles, born on December 20, 1972, daughter of the late Walter and Dories (Hebert) Chesson, passed away after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at the age of fifty-one.

Jennifer was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to everyone she met. She lived every day to the fullest.

Jennifer was a bus driver for sixteen years for the Calcasieu Parish School Board. She enjoyed being with family, friends, and loved cooking for everyone.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Jennifer is survived by her loving and devoted husband of thirty years, Michael Stewart; children, Jeremy Stewart and wife, Toni, and daughter, Alyssa Stewart and fiancé, Jakob Miller; siblings, Walter Chesson and wife, Sheila, Kent Chesson, Brent Chesson, Dennis Chesson, and Wendy Chesson; grandchildren, Layla Miller, Jaxon Miller, Adalynn Miller, Wyatt Stewart, Branson Stewart, Jeremy Stewart, II, and Dawson Stewart; nieces, Scarlett, Kelsey, Hannah, Hattie, Carlie; nephews, Kade, Hunter, and Caleb; aunt, Deany Hebert and uncle, Jerry Hebert.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 10 a.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa, with Rev. Roland Vaughn, Celebrant. A burial will follow in LeBleu Cemetery. Visitation will begin Friday in the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and will resume Saturday in the funeral home from 8 a.m. until the time of service.
