Jeremy John Vanicor, born in Jennings on July 9, 1977, son of Preston John, and Patricia Lynn Bernard Vanicor, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at the age of forty-six.
Jeremy started working at the age of sixteen, and was mentored by Mike Blasius, which led him to his lifelong dream of becoming President of Southwestern Construction Materials Testing, Inc. He enjoyed traveling, and spending time with his children and siblings.
He is preceded in death by his father, Preston John Vanicor; brothers, Van Vanicor, and Blane Sonnier.
Survivors are his mother, Patricia Vanicor; children, Abigail Vanicor, Mason Vanicor, Maggie Vanicor, and Preston Vanicor; siblings, Vickie Thibodeaux, Shawn Vanicor, Shane Vanicor, Delta Nelson, and husband Scotty, Jules “JJ” Vanicor; nieces and nephews, Akayla, Gage, Chance, Alexa, Tanner, Bailey, Kort, and Emily.
The family will receive friends and family in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa, Friday, February 23, 2024 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services to begin at 6:30 p.m., Rev. Roland Vaughn, Celebrant Cremation will follow the service under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
