Jerry Lynn Benoit, born February 15, 1957, son of the late Ernie Benoit and Esther Loraine Hebert, passed away December 26, 2023, at the age of 66. He was raised in Iowa, La.
Jerry worked with the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury. Upon his retirement, he worked for Lavine Dirt Works for 10 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and car racing.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Debbie Benoit; children, Earnel Lee Benoit (Courtney), and Brittany Nicole Benoit (Roderick James Livings); sister, Donna Ann Young (Sonny); 3 grandsons, Kyson James Benoit, David Lee Benoit, Tyvon Lynn Livings; 2 granddaughters, Faith Elizabeth Anne Benoit, and Nhyla Ann Livings; 2 nephews, Shannon & Trey Miller. He is preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Elizabeth Benoit.
Funeral services are Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 10 a.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation begins Friday in the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and will resume Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
