Jerry "Dean" Shelton, Jr.

Jerry “Dean” Shelton, Jr., of Lake Charles, LA died on Sunday, December 30, 2018 in a local care facility.

Dean was born November 17, 1961 in Lake Charles, LA, where he was a lifelong resident and attended LaGrange High School. He was a past member of the Vineyard Church and was a member of the W&L Trail Group and past motorcycle ministry group. He loved to hunt and fish and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed playing jokes on his family and friends. He had a great love for his children, especially his grandchildren and will be missed dearly.

Dean is survived by his mother, Shirley Shelton of Lake Charles; daughters, Tisha Sullivan and husband Steven of Westlake, Ashley Hebert and husband Mitchell of Moss Bluff, and Megan LeBlanc and husband Blake of Sulphur, LA; brother, Gary Lee Shelton and wife Jodi of Palm Harbor, FL; sister, Cheryl Baglio and husband Jerry of Moss Bluff; and grandchildren, Kaylyn, Kolby, Madyson, Tyler, Austin, Ashton, Riley, and Karsen.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Orlene Little Shelton; father, Jerry Dean Shelton, Sr.; and son, Kevin Clotio.

His memorial service will be at 3:00 PM on Friday, January 4, 2019 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. A gathering of family members and friends will be on Friday at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until the start of the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to his children to help with expenses.
