Jerry Lamberson Hill

Jerry Lamberson Hill, 89, of Lake Charles, LA died Tuesday, May 19, 2015 in a local hospital. Jerry was born on April 5, 1926 in Boyle, Mississippi to John and Helen Lamberson. She took great pride in serving in Sale Street Baptist Church. Mrs. Jerry and her husband, Carl, co-owned Hill's Music Center which had locations in both DeRidder and Leesville for a total of 32 years. Mrs. Jerry enjoyed doing puzzles, sewing, and gardening in her spare time. She also loved upholstery and watching golf on television. Left to Cherish Mrs. Jerry's memory are her three children, Carl Noel Hill Jr. and wife Frances B. Hill of Longville, LA, James Michael Hill and wife Beth Ann Hill of Lake Charles, LA, and Phyllis Smart and husband Claude of Lake Charles, LA; eight grandchildren, Angela Caccamo, Christopher Hill, David Smart and wife Bethany, Dustin Smart and wife Taylor, Danielle Smart, Megan Shirley and fiancé Will Martin, Lee Aaron Smart and wife Tanya; nine great grandchildren, Justin Hill, Bailey Hill, Jonathan Caccamo, Casey Caccamo, expecting Reed Elliott Smart, Madeline Smart, Zak Smart, Rachel Smart, and Brook Smart; one brother, John Lamberson and wife Grace of Clinton, MS; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Carl N. Hill Sr.; and parents John Whitfield Lamberson and Helen Rogers Lamberson. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Pastor Roger Gill of DeRidder will officiate. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers the family would like potted plants to be donated to the Carriage House at 5847 Graymarket Dr. Lake Charles, LA, 70605, or a donation sent to St. Jude.
