Iowa – Jerry Don Nessmith, born April 14, 1958, son of the late Austin Huey Nessmith and Shirley Faye (Brady) Nessmith, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2019, at the age of 61.
Jerry Don was a graduate of Glenmora High School and employed as a supervisor for KOCH. In his spare time, Jerry Don enjoyed fishing, being outdoors and gardening.
He is survived by his 2 daughters, Taylor Haney (James) of Baton Rouge; Kylie Nessmith of DeRidder; 2 sisters, Sherry Blocker (Richard); Jean Barton (Wayne); several nieces and nephews. Jerry Don is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Judith Nessmith.
Memorial services are Friday, August 16, 2019 at 11 a.m. with Brother Neal Treme officiating in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery of Glenmora. A gathering of friends will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
