Jessie Joseph Blanchard, Sr.

Jessie Joseph Blanchard, Sr., 31, of Ragley died Monday, November 5, 2018 in a local hospital.

Jessie was a native of Lake Charles. His favorite pastime was tinkering with gas-powered remote-control cars and riding dirt bikes with his children and friends. He also had a great passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles. Jessie had a kind loving heart, consumed almost entirely with love for his wife and children. He was a protector of his family and those friends he considered his family. He will be most remembered for his smile.

Jessie leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of nine years, Sunni Jo Blanchard of Topsy; four children, Tori Denise Boudreaux of Topsy, Jessie Joseph Blanchard, Jr. of Lake Charles, Ricky Joseph Blanchard and Jordin Laine Blanchard, both of Topsy; father, Cleveland Charles Blanchard and wife Kathy Jo of Breaux Bridge; mother, Jodie Guidry Baugh and husband Cliff of Missouri, brothers, Matthew Blanchard of Colorado and Brandon Guidry of Arkansas; maternal grandmother, Suzie Janice of Lake Charles; father and mother-in-law, Glen and Debbie O’Neal of Topsy and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Justin Blanchard and nephew, Matthew Hunter Blanchard.

Family and friends gathered privately and will have a celebration to honor of Jessie at a later date.
