Jesus “Jesse” C. Castillo, born in Edinburg, Texas, on October 15, 1938, son of the late Guadalupe and Joaquina Capello Castillo, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at the age of eighty-six.
Jesse was a member St. Charles Borromeo and retired from Tennessee Gas as a plant technician after twenty-five years. He enjoyed woodworking, painting and being with family. His memory and life will be missed.
He is survived by his sons, Jim Castillo (Josie) and Paul Castillo; sister, Andrea Hinojosa (Tirso); grandchildren, McKenzie Castillo, Lauryn Rion, Kade Castillo, Jessica Castillo, and Kyle Castillo; great-grandchildren, Kaylix Castillo, Kase Castillo, and Ave Grace Rion.
Preceding him in death are his wife, Patricia Castillo; parents; daughter, Sharon Rion; grandson, Dylan Rion, and brother, Gaudalupe Castillo, Jr.
A Mass of Christan burial will be in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Fenton on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 11 a.m. Rev. Jom Joseph, Celebrant. Burial will follow in LeBleu Cemetery in Fenton under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. A gathering of friends and family will begin Friday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. and continue Saturday in the funeral home at 9 am. until 10:30 a.m.
