Moss Bluff – Jimmie Dwayne Gorham, born September 12, 1949, son of Matthew “Dub” and Lou Gorham, passed away in a local hospital, Thursday, November 15, 2018, at the age of 69.
Jimmie retired from Halliburton as a special tool operator. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching football. Jimmie was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Moss Bluff.
Jimmie is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lucille Henry Gorham; children, Susan Bullard (Bobby), Stephanie Gorham Turner and Matt Gorham (Carrie), all of Moss Bluff; 6 grandsons, Stone, Brett, Gabriel, Kyle, Glen & Noah; 4 granddaughters, Jade, Lauren, Katelyn & Maritza; siblings, Donna Goos (Wesley); Gary Gorham (Carolyn); Stuart Gorham (Charmaine); Sharon Venable (Bobby) and David Gorham and many friends who will cherish his memory. He is preceded in death by his son; Michael “Mike” Dwayne Gorham; and his parents.
Funeral services are Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 11 a.m. in First Baptist Church of Moss Bluff with Dr. Steve Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in New Ritchie Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation begins Monday from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. and will resume Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. in the church.
