Jimmy Lee Bebee, 67, of Topsy, LA, died on Friday, February 24, 2017 in his residence.
Mr. Bebee was born November 29, 1949 in Lake Charles, LA, where he has lived most of his life. He was a graduate of Fenton High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked nearly thirty years for Ohmstede, Inc. / Emcor as a Boilermaker and was a member of the Boilermakers Local #37. Mr. Bebee loved spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune, working crossword puzzles and was a “wizard” mathematician. Mr. Bebee devoted his life and his love to his family, spoiling his wife, and took great pride in his children and grandchildren. He will be most remembered for his generosity, patience and compassion. Most importantly, “he loved like Christ”.
Mr. Bebee leaves to honor his memory, his loving wife of forty-six years, Patricia Marie Derouen Bebee of Topsy; sons, Toby Lynn Bebee and wife Susan of Lacassine and Chad Lee Bebee and wife Tera of Dry Creek; fourteen grandchildren; two brothers, Randy Bebee of Kinder and Glenn Bebee and wife Lawana of Lake Charles and two sisters, Darlene Manuel and husband Bruce and Becky Deshotel and husband Scott, both of Kinder.
He was preceded in death by parents, Carl Otis Bebee, Sr. and Myrtle Katherine Pettifer Bebee and one brother, Carl Bebee, Jr.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 28, 2017 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Toby Bebee and Rev. Otis Marsh will officiate. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation Monday will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue Tuesday from 8:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
