Jo Ann Hebert

January 26, 1937 — February 3, 2017

Jo Ann Hebert, 80, of Lawton, Oklahoma passed away Friday, February 3, 2017 at Duncan Regional Hospital surrounded by her family.  A Rosary followed by a funeral mass will be held Tuesday,  February 7, 2017 at 11:00AM at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Duncan with Father Peter Jandaczek, Father Joseph David and Father Jarek Topolewski officiating and under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. There will be no visitation set at Don Grantham Funeral Home. A memorial register book will be available to sign at Don Grantham Funeral Home.

 

Jo Ann Hebert was born on January 26, 1937 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Harry Donald Hinton Jr. and Minnie (Murphy) Hinton-Marks. Jo Ann was a graduate of LaGrange High School in Lake Charles. She married the love of her life Lowell Thomas Hebert on July 13, 1957 at St Margaret Catholic Church, in Lake Charles, LA. Jo Ann worked as a label maker for Carboline Company for 15 years before retiring. Jo Ann was a faithful member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Duncan. She loved spending time adoring her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she enjoyed watching sports especially football and cheering for the Dallas Cowboys.

 

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her husband of  21 years, Lowell Thomas Hebert ; her brother, Harry "Bud" Hinton Jr.; and her parents, Harry and Minnie Hinton.  She is survived by her son; Mark Joseph Hebert and his wife Robbin of Lawton, Oklahoma; her daughter, Dana Suzanne Moser and her husband Dusty of Marlow, Oklahoma; sisters, Carrie Lee Vidrine of Lake Charles, LA, Frances Marie "Teetum" Bertrand  of Lake Charles, LA; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. 

 

Pallbearers will be Freddie Carrier, Lance Mudd, Brian Fitkin, Brad Fitkin, James Lee Savoie, and T John Newman. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Moss, Russell Moss,  Kenneth Vidrine, Barry Burk, Blair Burk and Mike Fitkin. 

 

Interment will be held at the Prien Memorial Park Cemetery in Lake Charles, Louisiana on Friday February 10, 2017 with a funeral mass being held at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Lake Charles, LA at 11:30AM Friday, February 10, 2017 with Father Peter Jandaczek and Father Jarek Topolewski officiating and under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.  Condolences may be left to the family at www.granthamfuneralhomes.com
