Lake Charles – JoAnn Gladys Bland, born September 11, 1936, the daughter of John and Inez (Tate) Currie, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018, in her residence at the age of 81.
She is survived by her children, Pam Theriot (Ron) of Lake Charles, Craig Bland (Bertie) of LeBleu Settlement, Stephen Bland of Ville Platte; grandchildren, Jennifer Landry (Dustin), Sarah Hogan (Kenneth), Ross Theriot, Jessica Bland; great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Tyler and Abigayle; sister, Jackie Van Keuren of Houston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fredrick Bland, Jr.; parents and brother, John Currie.
She was a graduate of St. Charles Academy and owned & operated JB Mortgage. In her spare time, JoAnn enjoyed quilting and crocheting.
Graveside services will be in Prien Memorial Park, Friday, January 26, 2018 at 2 p.m. under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home – Iowa. Visitation is Friday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home - Iowa from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
