JoAnn Irene Landry Horton, 92, of LeBleu Settlement passed away, Thursday, August 21, 2025 in the comfort of her home surrounded by family.

Mrs. Horton was born March 8, 1933 in Athol, MA to Thomas Joseph Landry and Anna Duhon Landry. She was a graduate of Athol High School and went on to fulfill her high school dream of seeing Texas through military service. She served the United States Air Force where she later met and married her husband while stationed in Oklahoma City, OK. She took great pride in caring for her family as they followed her husband's military career. Upon the retirement of her husband, they made LeBleu Settlement their home. Mrs. Horton enjoyed knitting and playing Booray, was a wonderful cook and beautiful seamstress. She was an admirable lady of faith and prayer and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She will be remembered for her genuinely kind heart, generosity and selflessness.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Allen Joseph Landry (Marilyn) of LeBleu Settlement and daughter, Susan Landry of New Orleans; three grandchildren, Danielle Saunders and family, Chelsea Johnson and family and Stacy Bertrand and family; four step-grandchildren, Jeffery Hennigan and family, Sarah Beitzel and family, Benjamin Hennigan and family and family and Daniel Hennigan; nineteen great grandchildren and one brother, Tom Landry.

She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-six years, Elmer John Landry; son, Stephen Jay Landry and sister, Virgina Ouellette.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
