Jody Rene Mcconathy

Jody Rene McConathy, 41, of Lake Charles passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017 in her residence.

Jody was born on December 15, 1975 in Lake Charles, LA where she lived all of her life and was a graduate of Barbe High School. She received her associate degree as a Medical Scrub Technician and worked for Lake Area Medical Center. Jody was a loving mother to her son and will be missed by those who knew her.

Those left to cherish are her son, Tristan Paul McConathy of Lake Charles; her father, Joe Paul McConathy of Lake Charles; her mother, Donna Monceaux of Georgia; a brother, Duane McConathy of League City, TX; a sister, Kristy Nowinski of Spring, TX; maternal grandmother, Bernice Monceaux of Lake Charles; and an aunt and uncle, Becky and Kenneth Monceaux of Lake Charles.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 6, 2017 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Very Rev. Anthony M. Fontenot will officiate. A private inurnment will be held in Highland Memory Garden Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will begin on Thursday from noon until the start of the services.
