John A Morgan
March 15, 1937 — January 5, 2012
John A. Morgan, Jr., 74, of Lake Charles, died Thursday January 5, 2011 in a local care center.
He was born March 15, 1937 in Rayne, to Allen and Laura Cady Morgan. He served in the U.S. Army and was a carpenter for Dyson Lumber in Cameron for a number of years. He was also a member of Carpenter's Local #953 and Sale St. Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyliss Adams Morgan. He is survived by his brother, Carl Morgan, Sr.; a special cousin, Nita Morgan; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from noon to 1:00 PM today, Saturday, January 7, 2012 with a funeral service being held at 1:00 PM. Re. Randy Edwards will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 PM today at Indian Bayou cemetery near Rayne.
