John "Ben" Benjamin Hockey

Bell City – John “Ben” Hockey, Jr., 74, passed away Friday, May 19, 2017.
Ben was born January 25, 1943 to the late John and Alice (Alexander) Hockey, Sr. in Little Rock, AR. He was a graduate of Westlake High and also received a degree in Chemistry as well as a master’s degree from McNeese State University. He enjoyed fishing and loved college football especially the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Survivors are his sister, Carol Nunez and her husband Pat; nieces and nephews; Michael Nunez and wife Lisa, Becky Schultz and husband Mike, Stephanie Eger and husband Craig, Tami Hopkins and husband Steve, Kenny Brown and wife Charlotte, David Nunez and wife Melissa, Rachel Nunez and husband Terrell, Nick Nunez; 11 great nieces and nephews and 8 great-great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Service will be held in St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Bell City on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Father Emanuel Tanu officiating. Cremation was entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday in the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. with a Rosary at 10:30 a.m.
