John Philip "Big John" Fusilier
December 8, 1949 — October 5, 2020
John Philip “Big John” Fusilier, born December 8, 1949, passed away in his home on October 5, 2020. He lived in the community of Lacassine for the past 60 plus years, was a devoted Catholic who attended St. Margaret Catholic Church.
John attended McNeese, served in the United States Marine Corp., became a boilermaker, an excellent fabricator, and blacksmith. He succeeded in many business adventures. His favorite things in life were talking and helping people at any chance he could, along with playing bourre` with his friends or fellow Veterans.
He is survived by his son, Kenneth C. Fusilier and nephew, Herbie James Fusilier.
John will be laid to rest with his parents, Herbert and Lula Fusilier, and brother, Howard Fusilier.
At his request, there will be no formal services and cremation is under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
