John Hubert "T-John" Boudreaux, 90, died at his residence on April 11, 2026. He was born in Creole, LA. on November 22, 1935, to Ulysse "Eulice" and Marie "Olive" Boudreaux.
T-John was a native of Creole and lived most of his life there until being displaced by hurricane Rita in 2005. He survived hurricane Audrey and helped save several others during the storm. He was a fluent speaker of Cajun French and enjoyed speaking it. T-John served in the US Army, loved the outdoors, was a trapper, alligator hunter, carpenter and later worked for many years with the Cameron Parish Sheriff's Department. He enjoyed cooking and gardening and visiting with family and friends. He was a hard worker, could do many different things with his hands, enjoyed the simple things in life and was a friend to many during his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Ulysse "Eulice" Boudreaux and Marie "Olive" Boudreaux, wife; Margaret Boudreaux, stepson; Albert Johns, brothers; Pierre "Junior" Boudreaux, Joseph "LeRoy" Boudreaux, Sr., Whitney "T-Black" Boudreaux, Paul Boudreaux infant brother Joseph, sisters; Ethel "Top Top" Hebert, Yvonne Thibodeaux, Vida Vincient and Marie Conner.
Those left to cherish his memory include one brother, Joseph "Junior" Boudreaux, mother of his children; Renee Boudreaux, children; Rita Lacombe, Jim Boudreaux, Roger Boudreaux, Marina Boudreaux-Monceaux, stepchildren; Joyce Conner, Veronica Durrett, Talton Johns, and numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 10am until 1pm at Johnson Funeral Home, 4321 Lake St., Lake Charles LA. 70605. Funeral services will begin at 1pm also at the funeral home. Following the service the family has entrusted cremation arrangements to Johnson Funeral Home. Burial of his ashes will be Friday, April 17, 2026, at 10am in Grand lake / Sweet lake Community Cemetery.
